Housing Development Corporation MidAtlantic, the premier nonprofit provider of affordable housing in the mid-Atlantic region, and McKonly & Asbury, a leading regional accounting and business advisory services firm, have partnered to help children and families living at HDC MidAtlantic’s Springwood Glen Apartments prepare for the upcoming school year.

McKonly & Asbury team members collected school supplies throughout the summer at its Harrisburg and Lancaster office locations to donate to the families living at Springwood Glen Apartments, a general occupancy affordable housing community in Middletown. The firm’s Service Committee traveled to the property on August 3 to hand out the school supplies to students and their families.

Donations included:

  • 16 Assignment book/weekly planners
  • 38 Pencil boxes
  • 16 Packages of highlighters (13-17 year olds)
  • 38 Boxes of crayons (6-12 year olds)
  • 54 Packages of Pencils
  • 54 Packages of Pens
  • 54 Erasers
